Candlelighters of Southwest Florida is a Childhood Cancer foundation that strikes home with the Coconut Point Team. Justin Jordan of the Coconut Point Team is getting married 10-1-10 to his soon to be wife Lauren Lambrecht. Lauren was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 4. During Lauren’s 4 year battle with cancer Candlelighters was extremely helpful to Lauren and her family. Candlelighters of SWFL is a unique charity that helps families whose children were diagnosed with cancer spend quality time together. When a family has a child with cancer parents often have to dedicate every resource they have to medication and hospital care. During these trying times Candlelighters of SWFL will take families to amusement parks, sporting events and other family orientated events. The stress that the childhood cancer puts on families can be extremely trying on relationships. A break from the day to day life of having a child with cancer can mean the world to both the child and parents. Candlelighters offers these rare and meaningful opportunities for childhood cancer families.
