Grandezza Country Club News Flash

Message from Charlie Howlin – April 2, 2010

Dear Grandezza Member,

I am happy to report all is well at The Club at Grandezza. When you are having a great time with your friends and family, it seems as though time flies by rather quickly. That is what it seems as another winter season draws to a close. Plans are underway now to offer our year-round members varied and interesting amenities.

Over the years Grandezza has been fortunate to have a stellar golf operation. Although our success is due to the hard work and dedication of the entire team, one person stands out above the rest. James St Cyr, our Head Golf Professional has been a part of our Golf Management Team here at Grandezza for 6 years. James has accepted a position outside of the golf business and will be leaving Grandezza April 23^rd. To say we will miss James is a gigantic understatement. It has been a pleasure to watch him grow and develop into a true professional in his field. This is a great opportunity for James and Claire to be closer to family and I know you will all join me in wishing him the best and a hearty thank you for his years of dedication to the Club at Grandezza. His hard work, devotion, and enthusiasm will be missed.

Additionally, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Shawn Ward as our new Director of Golf. Shawn brings over 31 years of professional experience to the Grandezza team. After joining the PGA of America in 1977, he worked his way through the golf business at such prestigious Naples Clubs such as Royal Poinciana and Quail Creek, then landing at Quail West Golf and Country Club where he spent 18 years as the Club’s Director of Golf. Shawn then moved on to Cape May New Jersey as the Director of Golf/General Manager at the Sand Barrens Golf Club for the past year and a half. Shawn is thrilled to be part of the Grandezza Team and will hit the floor running. He comes to us with a wealth of Country Club experience and comes highly recommended by his peers. His start date is scheduled for April 20^th. Please join us in welcoming him to our Grandezza family.

A big thank you to all of our members who continue to support The Club at Grandezza and we look forward to continuing our commitment to keep Grandezza the finest country club in Southwest Florida.
